Well, I'm behind again. On everything. After the RT convention, I got sick with bronchitis. Then I double-timed it trying to catch up on everything and just about the time I got there, my eldest son came to visit. Now I love seeing him. He's a delight to spend time with and I love him dearly. But despite my vow to keep up with work, etc., while he was here, I spent more time having fun than I should have.
And now I'm miles behind again. The task list in the back of my head and on my desk is daunting. Time to plunge in and try to be three people at once before I get in any deeper.
I'm sure you all know what it's like. And the pressure is even greater because I'm actually planning to take my first vacation in five years for a week in July.
Oh, heavens! I'd better race, race, race! Especially since I know that life is full of the expected and despite my best intentions there are going to be days where nothing I intend to do gets done, while I deal with all that has suddenly popped up.
I love that old joke: Life is what happens while you're making other plans. Ain't that the truth?
Hugs,
Rachel
