Wow! What a wonderful experience, start to finish. I promised myself I would blog all about it as soon as I got home, but I find I'm exhausted. I'm just not as young as I once was, and it takes me a little longer to recover from go-go-go. :)
And at RT, you definitely go, go go. We all sounded like frogs by Friday evening, and some of us were so tired we actually missed the Vampire Ball. Sorry, I was one of the ones who missed it, but I felt I couldn't move another step.
My workshop went well, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Author Chat with a lot of stellar writers. I was honored to be in such amazing company. Thank goodness for Joan Johnston. She became our ad hoc leader at the chat, which was good because she's great at keeping the ball rolling, and her questions were all good ones.
I was totally flabbergasted to find myself one of the honorees for the tribute to Pioneers of Genre Fiction. Wow! I definitely hadn't expected that, and when you find yourself in the company of such greats as Piers Anthony and Maggie Davis, just to name two, you think you must have gone to heaven. :)
I promise to write more when I catch up a little with myself. If you've never been to an RT convention, I recommend it. You will absolutely have a blast.
And those cover models... hmmm. :D
More to come...
Hugs,
Rachel
