And I'm not going to brag about it. I've reached that age. Suffice it to say, I still feel forty.
My daughters overwhelmed me with sugar-free cake, flowers, balloons, and even a "lucky bamboo" plant... and I love those bamboo plants. My beloved gave me a recumbent exercise bike that I've been wanting forever. It was an inexpensive one since our budget doesn't run to anything expensive in these times, but it will work and make it possible for me to exercise even when the local weather is too hot or wet to endure. Of course, we still need to put the dang thing together!
I'm working on the WINDWALKER book, but after a vacation and my daughter's visit I seem to be a little brain dead. :) The words are coming, but slowly. At least the characters are vivid, right from the start.
Right now I'm having to spend a lot of time driving in circles, it seems, since my youngest daughter has starting band camp (she's in her school's marching band and is a section leader) and every day requires a round trip to her school, plus another couple of trips to take my younger son to and from his carpool. I'm beginning to feel as if my bottom is nailed to the seat of the car. I wish we had public transport!
But I'll survive, right? LOL
Hugs, Rachel
