Two new books are scheduled to be released over the next year.  Released last July, the highly anticipated and long awaited continuation of Conard County begins with the story of Micah Parish's (Cherokee Thunder) son -a book nearly 10 years in the making - Rachel Lee's "A Soldier's Homecoming"! (See below for review.)

In April 2009, we'll have the story of a school teacher with a psychic vision of a terrible murder. Will she discover the next victim in time? Find out in the soon to be released Rachel Lee's "Protector of One" (formerly "Visions of Murder) - another Conard County release by Rachel Lee.  And in July 2009 we'll see "The Unexpected Hero", starring Krissie Tate as a murderer stalks the halls of the Conard County Community Hospital.  Following Crissie's story will be "The Man from Nowhere," an exciting ride into murder and precognition.  Additional information is available in the blog.

Just finishef A Soldier\'s Homecoming...
Rachel, I just finished A Soldier's Homecoming and it was wonderful. I just loved revisiting one of my favorite CC heroes Micah Parish and being introduced to his son Ethan. I adored that wonderful scene in Micah's book where he made love to his wife while pregnant with her ex hubby's child and made that child truly his, it was awesome.

I look forward to the rest of this series and know I'll love them as much as I loved the original series. Thanks so much for bring the CC series back to life.

Thanks so much for your kind words! It's been scary coming home to Conard County, for fear of disappointing people. I am so glad you enjoyed the book.

Two more are in the pipeline and yet another is in the proposal process. I hope you'll be happy with all of them.

Hugs,
Rachel

CC is an awesome series.
Rachel,

There is only one major thing wrong with the CC series and that is when I am near the end of the book, I don't want to finish it and leave the characters behind. You want to go to town and have a piece of pie with Maude and the Sheriff and stroll down the streets saying Good Morning to everyone.

I was new to the CC series until recently . That one book began a personal campaign to purchase each & read the series in order that you had written it. Now they have a honored place on my bookshelf and will be reread time & time again. I can't think of a better way to pass a cold winter week than visiting my friends in Conard County. I am so looking for to the next book in the series with more to come. Thanks so much for my new friends in Conard County.

Marilyn,

WOW!

You touch me so much! I'd love to frame your comment on my wall to remind myself of why I do this when the going gets tough: Because I'm not the only one who wants to go down to Maude's and have a cup of a coffee and gab with all the characters... and gab with my readers as well.

All of you impact the series. The things you want, the things you enjoy... all of this helps give me direction.

And comments like yours take up a place in my heart where a little voice whispers with a smile: "Keep writing, woman!"

Please join us in the forum (Maude's Diner). All of you. smilies/smiley.gif

Because there's a new guy in town and everyone is wondering who he is and why he's there. He has a major secret and he seems to have no past.

Hugs,
Rachel

Conard County
Dear Ms. Lee I absolutely adore the CC series. I have all except the latest one and I have read them so many times that Exiles Ends had pages falling out. As I read each one I fell in love a little bit with the hero. I am 78 years of age and have read all my life but I have never had a series of books take up resedence in my heart like these have. I live in Florida where we have hurricanes. I can tell you right now that the entire series gets put in my suitcase in case I have to evacuate. I am so happy to hear that you have another out and one coming. I will be online getting the Soldiers Homecoming.
Please keep them coming. Stay safe and God bless you. Shirley

Awwwww
Shirley, You touch me so much. Even I wouldn't think of putting the books in my hurricane escape case... but now that you mention it, maybe I should because I need them to refer to.

Conard County always resided in my heart, and it was wonderful to finally bring it to life with EXILE'S END. I don't know if it's the lingering memory of somewhere I lived in a past life, or just a place I always wished I could live. smilies/cheesy.gif

Thanks so much for writing!

I stumbled on this series when I volunteered at my local library and, needless to say, I've as yet to let go - which sometimes necessitates scouring used book stores or waiting on reprints (though I prefer original covers).

I was absolutely thrilled to see that "A Soldier's Homecoming" had come out and I've gotten it on order.

Now.....to find a couple volumes I'm missing.................

Thank You!
I'm so grateful you love the series! I've poured so much of my heart into it that sometimes it feels like one of my children. smilies/smiley.gif

I hope you continue enjoying the books as they come. PROTECTOR OF ONE should be on the shelves, soon, and my webmaster is cracking the whip for me to get out a blog on it. Maybe I should do that right now....

Hugs,
Rachel
