Basic Choices:  Rachel Lee

You face three basic choices in creating a fictional world: scale, scope, and sense.  The scale of your world has to do with the variety of settings it offers.  The scope has to do with the variety of problems that exist.  The sense has to do your world’s moods and how and why things happen.  All three of those choices are tied to the kind of story or series you’re writing.
