Continuing Character - Rachel Lee

With a series, your world may have continuing characters as well.  These can be central characters that drive or at least shape the plot in story after story, or cameo characters that appear in several stories.  Sometimes a character begins in a cameo role and develops into a central character later.  Even if a continuing character never becomes central, his or her scenes help readers feel “at home” in your world, as if they’re meeting old friends again.  That’s why it’s important to keep good notes, which brings us to….
